I removed my HD, slaved it out and deleted the files and was able to boot without the loop. Tried the "hotfix" but it said I didn't need it. Tried to istall service pack 2 and stuck at the loop again. This is on a fresh reload. I HATE vista.

Hi There

I followed instructions for method 3 of resolving the vista update loop issue. I was convinced this would work but to no avail. Have tried system repair and restore too and no luck.
Is there anything else worth trying before I rebuild the offending item.

Regards
